1. The classic frame
Yes, well, we start with the base: a frame, it is everywhere and it has the advantage of protecting our poster from dust. For a more natural effect (or to take your poster in photo without reflection), you can remove the glass!
2. The vintage frame
A variant of the classic frame, which brings all its originality. There are models in the trade but if you want a cheaper and more personal option, do not hesitate to make it yourself!
3. The glass frame
A slightly more chic version of the standard frame.
For that, you just need to start from a classic frame with small metal flaps at the back, to hold the bottom cardboard. Remove this box, place your poster against the window, place a second window (use that of a second frame), if necessary add a piece of tape to hold the poster in place against the second window, and close the small metal flaps to tighten the two windows against each other.
If your frame is small (so not too heavy), you can suspend it like that, otherwise add a small hook at the back of the wooden frame to hang it at the nail. Or you do not take any risk, and you simply drop it on a piece of furniture!
4. The ground frame
Another way to re-visit the classic frame: instead of hanging on the wall, think of simply drop it on the floor or on a piece of furniture. It will give this little casual look, artist workshop spirit, and above all it is much
easier to change the decor, change, move ... without having to drill 38 holes in your walls!
5. The detached frame
Another way to divert the classic frame
Here, we keep only the frame itself, and we remove the glass (which can be used for the glass frame!). You can also look for a beautiful old wooden frame, with moldings, gilding and company. And the principle is very simple: we hang the frame on the wall with a nail ... and we stick our poster in the center with tape or Patafix. It gives an elegant but offbeat style, quite original, a way to play down these old molded frames!
6. The masking tape
You know, these small rolls of colored and patterned tape, which stick and come off very easily? We can use it as a decorative element in their own right, using them to fix our pretty pictures on the wall. Glued in a symmetrical way, diagonally, or forming a complete outline: have fun!
We used a masking tape (also called washi tape or tape) with gold glitter, to remind the gilding of the poster.
7. The hanger
This is an idea out of the ordinary ... and your closets. Get a clip hanger (it can be a big wooden clip like me, or a hanger with 2 small metal clips), and use it to hang your poster.
8. The clips
I really like these little metal clips. They are so cute that I have trouble using them for my daily paperwork ... So, I made a decorative element and I use it to hang my posters: 2 small nails and voila!
9. Hanging clamps
We take the same principle as before, but we add a small side "artist's gallery" suspending the clamps directly to the ceiling, with nice pieces of string.
Here, I used golden string to match with the clips, and with the colors of my poster. To attach the pieces of string to the ceiling, two small screw-hooks will do just fine.
10. The connected clamps
One last idea with these pretty clips is to link them together with a piece of string. We get a display a little similar to the vintage frame, in triangle, but a little more chic, a little more artist.
Favor the small posters well cardboard for this type of hanging, because a poster too large or too flexible will fold on itself with the tension of the string.
An original way to create a small moodboard: you stretch a thread (which is attached with 2 screw-hooks or just 2 nails), and it hangs its images of inspiration. I like using nylon thread because it is discreet on the wall, but it works with a nice piece of colored string.
To hang your images, use small metal clips or mini clothespins.
12. The clipboard
I bulged the clip of my board in gold so that it matches better to my decoration. I love the idea of being able to change the image according to my desires, my inspirations, the illustrations that fall to hand, ... The clipboard can be placed on a piece of furniture or hang on the wall!
A material that has returned to fashion in recent times. I was a little skeptical at first, but Pinterest ended up convincing me with its pretty inspiring images!
And it's still a great tool to display your own images. Whether you stick a square on the wall, or you framed a piece, a handful of bedbugs and we can display his pretty cards and small posters with confidence.
14. The shelf
Just as trendy, these small shelves are very narrow and are ideal for adding a little life to a wall: the decoration we store there can vary with the rhythm of our findings, and we can mix hard-copy images, picture frames, and even small objects.
